May in a nutshell. A medium-to-large sized nutshell.

I know I know, I just never post anymore. And then when I do it's forever and a day long because I have so much "important" (???) information to share because who knows when I'll post again!? Our life is really not all that exciting. Here's what has happened lately:

I survived my first ever "Conference" at work without any [major] hiccups. (This is really the reason I haven't posted, I was working lots of overtime which just makes me completely exhausted.) And we got -yet another- new girl at work who I absolutely LOVE!! I'm already done training her too, yay!

It rained. Once.

Darrin and I went to a Josh Groban concert in SA. OH! MY! GOODNESS! Talk about amazing!!! Also checkout Elew sometime - he opened for JG. Way cool!

My little prom princess "baby" sisters looked stinkin' amazing at BHS prom. (Yes, this was Kaitlyn's second prom this year)

Seriously...they're knock-outs!!! :)

Chrissy came to visit - right after she made a 4.0 for the semester. Go girl!!! :) We had lots of fun girl time while Darrin was away for the weekend on a work fishing trip. So much fun I didn't even get a single picture - ugh!!!!

Photo courtesy of a different weekend. :)

Kaitlyn graduated from Rudder High School, THIRD IN HER CLASS! :) And gave a fabulous speech with her buddy Andrew. And Darrin & I even worked Project Graduation with Mom, Dad, Chrissy, & Justin. I'm pretty sure we still haven't recovered! *Just a little shout out to my awesome Mom here because she worked her BUTT off to prepare for the weekend and all the company. And she made a super sweet graduation slideshow of really precious pictures for Kaitlyn along with a delicious dinner for about 20 people on Saturday.*

Our favorite Honor graduate!

Mom & Dad were too busy actually working to get in the picture with us. ;)

Darrin went on ANOTHER fishing trip for work. He caught 15 of the 35 fish they got...that's my man!!! :)

And this all happened since my last post approx. 4 weeks ago. Do you see how I manage to never find the time to post? I don't even want to think about what our life will be like once we actually find a church to get involved in and then bring kids into the mix. (No, we're not growing up THAT fast!) I can't wait for the post titled "We [FINALLY] joined a church!" One day....

April Travels (Part Two)

...continued.

April 29-May 1 weekend: was quite possibly the busiest of them all! Our first reason for going to town was to celebrate Darrin's Mimi's 90th birthday! We had a wonderful party Saturday afternoon and almost all of Martha's side of the family came to town. It was so great to see everyone and hang out with the Little Princess (Avaree) too! We also went to dinner to celebrate Chrissy's birthday and got to see Kaitlyn get ready for Rudder's Prom. She was voted Miss RHS by her classmates, which is basically the equivalent to Prom Queen. Yup, the same year she also won Homecoming Queen. :) I even got to see my BFF Abby and her sweet little Emma! We topped it off with senior recognition at church on Sunday. It was a wonderful weekend and a wonderful end to our many consecutive trips home.

LOVE this one!!

Our Sweet Kaity and Brent
We hated to miss being home today for Mother's day, but after 4 weekends on the road and with my big Conference for work coming up this week, we knew we had to stay in town for once. Happy Mother's day to our fantastic mothers!! We love you and appreciate all the diaper changings, mess picking up, clean laundry, home-cooked meals, good advice (solicited or not), and most of all LOVE you have provided us over the years! You are the BEST!!! :)

April Travels (Part One)

At the very minimum we drove a total of 1,200 miles in April...and that's just on the weekends! We won't even get into the current gas prices and not-so-eco-friendly vehicles we drive... But you know what? It was so worth every single mile, minute, and penny! :) We got to be home for some wonderful, fun memories with our family and friends and were blessed to be a part of something very special with our precious church back home.

April 8-10 weekend: we went home so Darrin could play in the Pastor's Masters Golf Tournament that Central was hosting. We got to spend lots of QT with family, had game night with some of "the crew", and I got to go shopping with my little sisters for their prom dresses on Saturday!

Which dresses did they choose? You'll just have to keep reading to find out...

April 15-17 weekend: Chrissy's Ring Day!!! She actually already got her own post, because I was too excited I had to get the pictures up right away! Congrats again Chrissy!!!!

April 22-24 weekend: EASTER!!!! We got to take the afternoon of Good Friday off and head home early so we could get to "makeup" for Easter Pageant! We had a wonderful time sharing the story of Jesus' life and death and celebrating Easter with lots of family that came to town! We also got to have a little mini celebration for Chrissy's 21st birthday! We had some delicious cake with Mimi & Poppy and some of Chrissy's high school friends who came to town to help her celebrate. (These pictures keep getting out of order and I'm ready to finish this post)
