One of Ana White's rules is that you're not supposed to blog about a project until you are completely finished. Yeah, now I know why. You kind of lose motivation to finish the project -or at least stain it- once it's already blogged. I mean, it's totally usable without being stained the right color, right!?
Well about 2 months ago, I finally stained this sucker a gorgeous chocolate brown (not sure the pictures really do it justice). Then with the nasty moist weather and the big move, I just never got around to finishing it off, bringing it inside, and getting some pictures. Well, here they are. I seriously suggest you try this website out if you're a DIY kinda person, or even just a penny pincher like me. :) (DIY= Do-it-Yourself, guys) It's pretty gratifying to say "Thanks, I made it!" when your friends tell you they like your end table.
Oh, and a side note: Our cute new apartment is approx. 300 square feet smaller than the last so the end table no longer fits next to the couch. This is just my explanation for the semi-odd placement in our little mini-hall. Which works, by the way. :)
Happy Building!!!

Beside the couch in our old apartment. Nice color, huh? (Disregard my lack of ability to pick up our kitties' toys.)

In the mini-hall of our new apartment. PROUDLY displaying Darrin's prized autographed Cowboys' football. :)
Maybe my sanding skills aren't 100%, but for a first effort, I'm pretty dang proud!
