Moving again!?

I know this post should be about sweet angel Emma, and I should probably be packing not posting but I just have to tell you that...we're moving! Yeah, again. Yeah, 6 months later. Don't worry though, we're not even moving across town, just to a new apartment within our complex. More than anything I'm attempting to justify why I haven't been posting in the last 2 weeks (lots of moving details and one other little adventure we've been working on ... which will come in my next post or two). But I promise, when I come back it'll be good!!! :)

In the meantime, if you want to mail us anything you can use our old address, because it'll be forwarded, or you can email me at jamielbarton@yahoo.com for our new one! Won't post it on here for obvious reasons. ;)

Anyways, off to packing - or probably off to sleep tonight since it's so dang late. Sunday or Monday should be a post about the most beautiful little angel Emma!! yay!!! :) Get excited about the next few posts - because I am!! :)

December Birthdays & Christmas Travels!

We only spent two (out of 5) weekends at home in December!!! We had a wonderful month full of fun times with friends and family, but are definitely excited to have some time to stay home and relax (and blog!!) now that January's here.

The first weekend of December was our first weekend home. We had two Christmas parties and Darrin had a day of New Braunfels inventory. Not to mention I had lots of Christmas shopping to do. We ended up dead tired by Sunday evening, but had a great time meeting each others coworkers and their families.

The second weekend in December was Bo and Patricia's wedding (this one had it's own post), but we also celebrated "Kaity-Lynn"s 18th birthday. Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!

The next weekend was our other weekend home. This was a frantic weekend of Christmas shopping and decorating and preparing for many days on the road. Here's a peak at our little apartment all "dolled up" for Christmas!

Then it was Christmas week!!! I got to go to Bryan a day earlier than Darrin because my company loves Jesus a little bit more and gave us an extra day off :). The first day home was Layne's birthday so we all spent the evening celebrating with the family and some of her friends. Happy Sweet 16 Langelayne!!! We had a great few days shopping, wrapping, and enjoying the season at the Lampley home. There's something comforting about walking into your old "Home" and seeing those same stockings, tree, desserts, and loving faces that you've grown up knowing. It makes the season just that much better!

After Christmas Eve service we went to the Barton household. We had dinner that evening with Mema & Milton then went home to hurry and get in bed so Santa could come!! Christmas morning brought stockings, an Xbox 360, a NOOK!!! (guess who each item belonged to), and the rest of the Barton clan!! :) :) We had a great time opening presents with B, A, and A then all the Slaydon side came over for food and fun. On Sunday morning me & Darrin got to sing with Martha & Brandon (we can't convince Allison to sing yet, Avaree's a bit young still, and poor Perch woke up sick that morning :(.) It was lots of fun to be up there celebrating Jesus the weekend of His birthday with family and our Central friends! We hated to say goodbye and head home.

Martha Barton is KNOWN for her Christmas decorations, and this year certainly did not disappoint!! Thanks for always going all out - and thanks to Perch for bringing everything down from the attic. :)

Lunch after church - lovin' Miss Ave's dress :)

Ok, she's just the most photogenic of the gang! And I thought this was about the sweetest picture ever. :)
Last, but not least we hit the road one last time to celebrate New Years in El Campo with the Birkner family! Poppy had an exciting little adventure that ended with 23 stitches in the nose this weekend, but that sure didn't keep anyone from horsin' around, having fun, and even shooting off some fireworks!!

Stayed tuned for more adventures [many of which may actually take place in San Antonio!] with "DB and Jamalie", we've already got a handful in the works for 2011... :)

Love,

Bo & Patricia's Wedding

It was the wedding of the decade. No, seriously! Bo and Patricia finally got married after something like 9 years and 9-10 months of dating. Wow! :) Darrin and I were both honored to be involved in this wedding and we had a wonderful weekend with all "the Crew" celebrating the official beginning of their lifetime together. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Ellis!!!
