Adventures in Austin!

Who knew you could have fun in longhorn land!? Well we DID!!! (for all my t-sip family out there, I am kidding.) A few weekends ago, we went to Austin and met up with Martha and Eric, the Gardners, and the Capps for a Saturday fun day. We did an awesome zipline tour through the Austin Hill Country led by the fun/crazy Robert AKA "Hill Country Bob."

We then made the drive over to Zilker Park and rented canoes/kayaks to play on the water for a few hours. We had such a blast "playing" all afternoon with the group!

By the end of the day (which started at 8am and ended around 2pm) we were starved so we all headed over to Austin's famous Kerbey Lane Cafe for some good eats. They seriously have the BEST queso and the bowl is about the size of Texas! DE-licious!!!

Excuse our tired expressions, we were BEAT!

I guess there are a few good things about Austin after all. :)

Peanut Gallery

Here's the original...

So what about this one?...

Oversized peanuts? Or a mini bucket? :)

Here they are together. The original on the right.

Logan's Roadhouse mini desserts come in mini peanut buckets - that you can keep! Darrin's is proudly on display in our living room now. :)

May in a nutshell. A medium-to-large sized nutshell.

I know I know, I just never post anymore. And then when I do it's forever and a day long because I have so much "important" (???) information to share because who knows when I'll post again!? Our life is really not all that exciting. Here's what has happened lately:

I survived my first ever "Conference" at work without any [major] hiccups. (This is really the reason I haven't posted, I was working lots of overtime which just makes me completely exhausted.) And we got -yet another- new girl at work who I absolutely LOVE!! I'm already done training her too, yay!

It rained. Once.

Darrin and I went to a Josh Groban concert in SA. OH! MY! GOODNESS! Talk about amazing!!! Also checkout Elew sometime - he opened for JG. Way cool!

My little prom princess "baby" sisters looked stinkin' amazing at BHS prom. (Yes, this was Kaitlyn's second prom this year)

Seriously...they're knock-outs!!! :)

Chrissy came to visit - right after she made a 4.0 for the semester. Go girl!!! :) We had lots of fun girl time while Darrin was away for the weekend on a work fishing trip. So much fun I didn't even get a single picture - ugh!!!!

Photo courtesy of a different weekend. :)

Kaitlyn graduated from Rudder High School, THIRD IN HER CLASS! :) And gave a fabulous speech with her buddy Andrew. And Darrin & I even worked Project Graduation with Mom, Dad, Chrissy, & Justin. I'm pretty sure we still haven't recovered! *Just a little shout out to my awesome Mom here because she worked her BUTT off to prepare for the weekend and all the company. And she made a super sweet graduation slideshow of really precious pictures for Kaitlyn along with a delicious dinner for about 20 people on Saturday.*

Our favorite Honor graduate!

Mom & Dad were too busy actually working to get in the picture with us. ;)

Darrin went on ANOTHER fishing trip for work. He caught 15 of the 35 fish they got...that's my man!!! :)

And this all happened since my last post approx. 4 weeks ago. Do you see how I manage to never find the time to post? I don't even want to think about what our life will be like once we actually find a church to get involved in and then bring kids into the mix. (No, we're not growing up THAT fast!) I can't wait for the post titled "We [FINALLY] joined a church!" One day....
